A Few Words About Me

My love for jewelry and jewelry-making started when I was a child, stringing buttons from my mother's button box.
I have always been a crafter. Both of my parents were creative. Dad loved woodcarving and woodworking. He carved wonderful horses and built carts & wagons for them. Mom and I enjoyed many crafts – needlework, crocheting, tatting, candle making, florals, sewing doll clothes and my clothes, ceramics, and many others.
My husband, Terry, and I have known each other since the 7th grade and have been married for nearly 49 years. When our daughter was three years old, her paternal grandfather built her a dollhouse. That project began a 35-year journey into the world of dollhouses and miniatures. Over the years Terry and I have built more than 50 dollhouse and vignettes. I still have five dollhouses and more than a dozen vignettes.
After retirement from federal service, I began decorative painting. We owned a shop for several years where we sold supplies and held classes. We closed the shop about 14 years ago and retired to our little lake house at Pomme de Terre Lake in Missouri. And I returned to jewelry making.
I love jewelry making! From stringing to bead weaving! Simple to complex (I love a challenge). My love of vintage jewelry has morphed into my latest passion - crafting assemblage jewelry with vintage bits and pieces.
A last word about my business name. We have two amazing children who are married and have given us five grandsons. The shop name combines our daughter's middle name (Teresa Lynn) and our son's middle name (Ryan Leigh).
Hugs from my little corner of the world.
